Interesting. I see where you're coming from. I would really like to hear what jorge has to say about it.

We can assume that lorenzo isn't going to do as well without rossi, this may be yamaha's way of keeping them safe. If lorenzo and rossi are going at it all year around it has the potential to push them to far

this way yamaha has a win win... they keep both racers, lorenzo grows up and will eventually be better because of it... Rossi isn't going to be around forever either, then its just gonna be lorenzo to fight for yamaha, unless they bring in another superstar

Word is, Rossi is will be leving Yamaha after this season. And MotoGP is after all going back to the 990cc bikes after this year as well. Should be a good year, contoversy is a good shot in the arm for GP this year.

Yamaha will NOT be able to keep these 2 guys on the same team for much longer... something will have to change at some point. Watch out for Spies... he's been doing really well already and will definitely be making a charge towards the front of the pack.

As for the 990's coming back... BRING IT! Problem is that everyone is b*tching about costs etc to develop another bike. At this point the earliest that we could see them is the 2011 season. It will be interesting to see how the success / failure of Moto2 will impact MotoGP.

There's only one good way to settle it.
