hells yeah!! I think "your gay" has a lot of talent, but its a given fact that he was being competitive on a race bike that has been evolved wi/ Rossi n Burgess. It should be interesting to see what he will do with his own data now, but he is still on a championship winning bike! Can't wait! SBK will be interesting as hell too!!

Most definitely... I think Lorenzo is going to end up somewhere else and Edwards will end up back alongside Rossi. I would say Spies would be there, but he's going to be so good that he'll end up the #1 rider for one of the other factory teams.

I don't understand, the Yamaha engineers can see all the data and feed it back to both , so what is the difference? What am I missing.

I guess they are just on a time delay, wouldn't you think the engineers would say rossi was slipping in turn three just like you were today and we added two clicks of rebound damping, worked great, try that on your bike.

Basically what they are saying is the information will flow only one way... The riders will give their input to the engineers, they will look at all the data from both riders and make the changes that benefit both riders.

Lorenzo can no longer take Rossi's set up / suspension set up / gearbox ratio's / etc and has to figure out how to set up his own bike on a race by race basis.

seems like rossi is being a little bitch. If he is a better rider than lorenzo, then why does it matter if he shares the info?

Or is this just tough love to help jorge grow up? I like rossi, but i don't like how much of a prune he is.

I think it might be the other way around. Lorenzo thinks he's as good as or better than Rossi...

Rossi and Burgess developed an all-a-rounder that anyone can ride
quick whereas Casey developed a bike only he can ride... so who do
think was being smarter???

Recall the days when Doohan and Burgess developed an all-a-rounder in
the form of the Big Bang NSR500 and when his rivals began challenging
him on the easier to ride NSR... Mick switched back to the screamer...
so when his team mates also tried the screamer they high sided
themselves right into the kitty litter... they switched back to the
Big Banger and just settled for second place thinking that only the
screamer could win... basically Doohan had defeated his team mates
even before the race started...

Well several points here...

1. Call Rossi a complainer, but he always gets what he wants in the end. But when you are paying the most popular motogp rider over $20 million a year you are going to want to keep him happy. Besides, I don't know if this sport could continue to survive without him. Look at Golf and what happens when Tiger Woods doesn't play.

2. Although Fiat Yamaha wants to have 2 top riders, they shouldn't have re-signed Lorenzo as he is Rossi's closest rival for winning championships, this will cause nothing but problems (remember days of thunder?). Besides, Lorenzo's winning directly affects Rossi's pocketbook. If Lorenzo is winning on Rossi's data, it diminishes Rossi's value to the factory team. If Lorenzo all of a sudden isn't able to put up these results in 2010, then they HAVE to realize how important Rossi is to development of a winning M1.

3. If Rossi isn't even going to give his homie Simoncelli tips now that he's in MotoGP why do you think he would want to help Lorenzo? Its time for Lorenzo to do it on his own merits. If he keeps winning and placing as high in 2010 as he did in 2009 then we can all give him mad props.

4. Tough love? no... its "Do your own work Jorge". Most teams have a primary and a secondary rider. My feeling is that the secondary rider is the "co-star" and not the star of the show. That means, they are there to be a secondary competitive bike/rider for input, testing, development, to help with constructors championships, and to be on the podium in the event that the "star" cant race or doesn't finish.
